You may have thought soap and water were enough until you started experiencing adult acne (Hormonal & Diet Related Acne). Double cleansing ensures that you completely remove all pollutants & bacteria trapped on the surface of the skin. A double cleanse will help remove acne-causing bacteria and oil/sebum that can lead to breakouts. It will also help you break down makeup and sunscreen that we often miss with our initial cleanser.
What do I need to Double Cleanse?
You will need two types of cleansers!
Oil-Based Cleanser-(Bijouskin Face & Body Oil)
Gel Based Cleanser-(Glow Facial Cleanser)
The Oil, Cleansing Balm, or Micellar Water is designed to remove oil-based impurities,
including makeup, sunscreen, sebum/oil, and pollution. By removing this first layer of gunk, the second cleanser can really work its way into the skin, removing the likes of sweat, dead skin, and bacteria. Not only is a double cleanse meant to give a more thorough cleanse, but it can also revitalize dull skin and allow other skincare products to penetrate more effectively.
Our Face & Body Oil can be used to effectively oil cleanse & moisturize the skin. Our formula is a blend of Grapeseed Oil, Avocado Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Tamanu Oil, & Noni Extract to gently dissolve makeup & pore-clogging debris.
How do I double cleanse?
Step One: Use 1-3 pumps of Bijouskin's Face & Body Oil to your palm of clean dry hands, and use your fingers to gently massage it into your skin using circular motions for around 30-60 seconds. Make sure to focus on areas of concern. This will break down your eye makeup without irritation. If you are blackhead prone take extra time on that area as well.
Step Two: Take a palm-full of warm water and massage it into the oil until it creates a milky-type substance. Take a clean washcloth and let it soak in warm water for a bit. Ring it out so it’s damp (but still warm) and gently wipe the entire face clean. This method will make sure the makeup and dirt have been removed.
Step Three: Time to cleanse! Take a dime size of Glow Facial Cleanser into your palms with enough water to lather (DO NOT OVER DILUTE PRODUCT) massage into your skin for about one minute using your fingertips. Really make sure you’re covering your entire face, throat, and jawline. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Our Glow Facial Cleanser is high in Vitamin C & E and botanical extracts to boost your skin's hydration while giving your skin an effortless glow.
Step Four: Prep your skin by using your Glow Toner. And then apply your Glow Essence Serum, Active Clearing Serum, Anti-Acne Gel, Moisturizer, and/or Face & Body Oil. If you are using the Active Clearing Mask use it before using the Glow Toner and then continue the process after removing the mask.
Step 5:Repeat every night before bed.
